Glasgow Girls & Women FC are delighted to be awarded funding from Glasgow City Council’s Area Budget Committee to purchase much needed 2nd hand van to help us continue our deliveries of bread and food to local organisations within our community area.
The committee which is chaired by local councillor Annette Christie awarded many local groups funds which all relate to the current pandemic.
Although the van is used by the club to deliver bread & food donated to the club, it is also used to assist other local groups in the delivery of their services.
The award also allows us to insure the van and purchase PPE for delivery use by our volunteers.
The van is cleaned hygienically every day and evening after use by our staff.
