The girls had just came of the back of a cup win before the visit of Celtic 14s so preparation for that game had a buzz about it as the girls were focused and determined to maintain their winning run after their first win of the campaign.

The girls set about adapting to new set pieces and tactics which where going to be used in the game against Celtic.

Once the team got onto the park they set about their game plan which came up triumphs in the first half with a dominant performance. Putting into play what we had worked on prior to the game pressing high and exploiting our opportunities from set pieces. With both goals in the game coming from set pieces. Erin Meharry using her strengths to deliver dangerous balls into the box before getting her reward with a goal straight from a corner. Not long after her goal Erin sent in another great ball to find teammate Charlotte Foulds for the full back to bring the ball down with her right foot and score with her left. A well worked goal and pleasing for the coaches to see after all the girls hard work.

Celtic came back into the game shortly after half time with a goal but Glasgow girls showed resilience to see of the game. A strong performance by all the girls to get the 3 points.

“The girls have been working really hard in training prior to the game so it was really pleasing to see them go out on to the park using what we had worked on and getting the reward for it. We look to kick on from this win in our next game”
